Applicable entry fees are detailed on the registration form accessible via each event page. Entry fees for our Big Steps of Hope Sheffield Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND and our Virtual Walk include a t-shirt and commemorative finisher’s medal.

Anyone interested in entering as a team leader and organising their own Big Steps of Hope Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND will only submit their personal and contact details at point of registration. The Fundraising Team at the MND Association will support all team leaders directly and provide you with sponsor forms, MND awareness leaflets, certificates and branded T-shirts for all walkers. Team Leaders information packs will contain details about how to order commemorative medals for their walkers.

The quickest and easiest way to enter is via our online registration system, which can be accessed through each event page.

Entries will close at 5pm on Friday, 16th August 2019 or when events reach capacity (whichever is sooner).

An automatic confirmation message will be displayed upon completion of the registration process. A confirmation email will also be sent to your registered email address. If you haven’t received your confirmation email, please check your junk folder and add us to your safe senders list.

Limited entries may be available for our Big Steps of Hope Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND in Sheffield on event day (subject to the event not reaching capacity). An on the day entry fee will be charged and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please see us at our registration office on event day to register.

Big Steps of Hope encourage people of all abilities to take part. We are Team MND and everyone is welcome to join in, regardless of age or fitness levels. We may have different reasons for fighting back but we are all united in our efforts towards a world free from MND. Our Big Steps of Hope Sheffield Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND is a family-friendly event and all paths at our Sheffield Walk to D’Feet MND are buggy and wheelchair friendly – you can even bring your four-legged friends to take part! Our marshals will be happy to assist on the day and help to ensure everyone has a great time and finishes the walk safely. If you have registered to attend our Big Steps of Hope event in Sheffield but are unable to take part, simply get in touch with us. We would still encourage you to take steps with us to d’feet MND. You can complete your Big Steps of Hope Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND entry as a virtual walk instead, and walk anywhere and in your own time. Simply drop us a message and we will post your medal and t-shirt to the address you have provided at registration.

Changes to your entry details can be made prior to information packs being posted (virtual entries only). You will receive a one week warning email to ensure your details, specifically your postal address, are correct and to update any details if necessary. Updates can be made by contacting us using the enquiry form on our Big Steps of Hope website. If you wish to change your registered email address, please submit an enquiry form.

Shipping within the United Kingdom is free.

If you live outside of the United Kingdom, our standard rate shipping is £2.50 in addition to your entry fee.

You also have the opportunity of making a voluntary shipping contribution of £5.00, which ensures that we fully cover the cost of shipping and can donate more of your entry fee to the MND Association.

Your electronic information pack will be sent to your registered email address. Within your electronic information pack will be details of the Big Steps of Hope event you entered. If you will be joining us at our Sheffield walk, your information pack will contain a route map, event details including start time and parking, fundraising as well as information regarding the collection of your Walk to D’Feet t-shirt on event day. If you have registered for our Big Steps of Hope virtual walk, your information pack will contain your Walk to D’Feet t-shirt, information about fundraising and your commemorative medal. If you have entered as a team leader, your information pack will be posted to the address you provided upon entering, by the Fundraising Team at the MND Association.

All registrants will receive a confirmation of entry email upon registering for any of our Big Steps of Hope events. An electronic information pack will be sent to all entrants and regular event updates will be emailed to your registered email address to keep you informed and get you ready for event day. If you have registered on or before 31st July, you will be receiving your electronic information pack (and event pack if you registered for our virtual walk) by the 12th August. If you have registered after 31st July, we will ensure that you receive your event pack as soon as possible. The timeframe for receiving your information pack will depend on your registration date.

We are grateful for everyone who signed up to join our Big Steps of Hope virtual walk anywhere in the world. Please ensure you sign up as early as possible if you are living abroad so we can ensure that you will receive your virtual walk event pack in time to take steps with us to d’feet MND. We will confirm once your information pack has been posted and you will also receive your electronic event guide with all the information you need ahead of the big day.

Please check the contents carefully to ensure everything is present. If you have registered for our Big Steps of Hope virtual walk, your information pack should also contain your Walk to D’Feet t-shirt and commemorative medal. Please also take the time to read your electronic event guide ahead of the day. On event day, please wear your Walk to D’Feet t-shirt to help us raise greater awareness of MND and share a photo of yourself, using #BigStepsOfHope to let us know where you are walking. There is no obligation to fundraise but all money raised through donations and online fundraising helps support people living with MND and their families, and provides vital funds for research. Every donation helps to make a difference and will bring us closer to finding a cure. If you have already registered to take part in an event but would like to receive a fundraising pack, sponsorship form or more information, please contact the Fundraising Team at the MND Association directly – details can be found on the MND Association’s page – https://www.mndassociation.org/.

Lots of volunteers are needed at each Big Steps of Hope Tribute Walk to D’Feet MND to ensure the day runs smoothly and everyone has an amazing time. Roles vary from route marshals and start/finish marshals to helping on drinks stations or with fundraising activities on the day.
